Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Bravo may well have not turned out right but still not a vanity signing. Clear logic behind it.

Flawed logic. The signing was queried at the time because he clearly wasn't going to get the time on the ball to pass it out that he was afforded in Spain, coupled with the fact that he was playing for a team who had the ball 99% of the time. There's a reason Barca were happy to let him go.

Hart and Kompany were the backbone to City's sucess.
The flair players like Silva can adapt to any set up, no need to try and pass it out. Only my opinion like.
Bravo and Stones just look scared everytime they get it.

Yes looks like flawed logic but that doesn't necessarily equate to vanity. In any case let's face it Hart is no Neuer. He's a deeply flawed keeper who will always fall short of world class. City's problems are not attributable to hart not being there.

hope he doesn't get sacked for a while. Teams took a few weeks to work out how to play them and since then it's only been real tosh like west ham who haven't had a clue. He'll be like wenger is now with his stubborness not to change anything too. He'll always believe his way is the right way until he gets sacked and lands another cushy job in europe with no intention to ever return to this league and get shown up again.

With our moneys, i sure hope we turn into a chelsea as opposed to a man city. The team is a bunch of pushovers, they don't fancy a fight at all. At least chelsea have had teams with guts and steel who don't buckle under slight pressure.

It's a bit like Martinez was at Everton. They both want to play in a very particular way, but neither of them have ( or had ) good enough players to make it work.

The City defence just aren't comfortable enough on the ball to make it work week in, week out, so Pep either needs better players or he needs to adopt a more pragmatic style.

He ain't going to do the latter so he'll be looking to strengthen his squad, particularly in defence. It'll be interesting to see just how much faith ( financially ) the City board show in him, and how long they'll give him to demonstrate that he's doing better than his predecessor.

Won't be here this time next season

It's truly amazing this fella is finally being shown up for what he is, A decent manager given two of the biggest clubs in world football in two leagues that have 2-3 decent sides

Spot on and it also remains to be seen whether he'll keep the faith with Stones or if it'll be one of the others that get replaced to play alongside him.

And to think people were defending Bravo lol

Utter vanity signing, the vanity being Pep thinking he could just play Barca style and teams would just roll over for him

He should swallow his pride, restore Hart and show some actual tactical flexibility

I'm pretty sure no top coach assumes how a new job is going to go and would be well aware of the competitiveness of the league seeing as how it's pretty well known. Silly comment.

Think you're a bit too quick to show your glee here Mikey.

What happened to giving newcomers to the league some time? Even the best will have bad moments in their career.

He has plenty of tactical flexibility just not the old-school type you'd like to see. Changes things constantly during a game. Makes more sense to keep his team working on the way he wants them to play for whatever the length of his time at City. Not change things up just because of some adverse results.

If he gets the players playing to the speed he likes then the openness at the back, as in most of his management career, becomes less of a problem. If he gets what they do with the ball right they will generally be okay defensively.

They'll stick with him baring a disaster, and will invest. They badly want to reach the top table and have wanted Pep for a while now.
