I would certainly be up for the idea of ambushing the iceman when he cometh to the states. Perhaps if we ordered the new away strip and folded them cleverly (style) he would sign them thinking they were Swansea shirts. Perhaps order them with his name on the back and get him to put the date under the signature - might be worth a few bob like a misprinted stamp in a few years.....

Would tend to agree there - Maybe wait for movement on the Ross front as Gylfi will probs occupy his place. Do think our absolute priority should be a good CF atm. I don't believe it's completely true but we're starting to look like we didn't have Rom's replacements in mind. Sigurdsson can wait

I think we have our eye on Giroud, I can only assume we have had a little wink, but no doubt we will have a few back ups.
We arent struggling BIG time for Strikers, we have Rooney, DCL and soon to be Sandro, not perfect by any stretch, but its certainly not bare bones, we can allow The big nosed frenchman time and we also arent in dire need of the Iceman, we can and will bide our time I suspect.
I mean yes we have The Europa games looming and of course the 12th August, but currently, we could field a very good team able to beat Stoke at home, as for the other games, well, lets see.

True. I'm not at all against the 'Iceland' signing but lack of wide players and/or pace troubles me slightly.
As for CF no. 1 choice should be Dzeko tbh but think Giroud is a cracking player who fits what we need. Just think Dzeko is a little more complete. Both players are criminally underrated because they've not got mega pace on FIFA imo. Similar with Gylfi tbf. Please no DCL though he's nowhere near it - know he's young but baffles me what Ronko sees in him!
To be honest isn't that the reason we all post on here brother? We're all Evertoned out, lids just live for the safari these days.
