We tried to sign Mata and Witsel, they wouldn't come.
Barkley has flattered to deceive for years and frankly was not good enough last year. He's been offered a better contract (that he is not value for and has not earned) and he's not signed.
Hounded out by Koeman? Hardly. He's now just under a manager who isn't enamoured with him and sees him as just another player who is judged on what he does on the pitch.
Realistic options? We are throwing money around like we are drunk at a casino.Who would you have gone for mate, that you'd consider would have been realistic options?
Every 3 months my friends & myself save up a fund that we can blow on a drunk casino night. Tis very fun. Yes you lose occasionally but it's such a laugh. Enjoy the good times.Realistic options? We are throwing money around like we are drunk at a casino.

Tezzy, please don't become a 'Carer'' Just stick to being a good old fashioned 'Tory'.We tried to sign Mata and Witsel, they wouldn't come.

Koeman is ridding the club it's seems of all the players from the Martinez era. However I agree with you it is folly to suggest he doesn't want Barkley at the club, he as manager will have instructed the board that he wishes to retain the services of the player. Barkley for whatever reason is not signing a new contract, if he doesn't he will be sold. Everton like most business' don't want to lose an asset for nothing. Arsenal are in a similar position with Sanchez, if he doesn't sign a new contract, he'll be sold likewise. Considering Sanchez is more influential to his team than Barkley and Arsenal are financially in a far stronger position than us, I don't see them getting criticised for their stance. We tried to sign Mata and Witsel, they wouldn't come.

Oh look, another pop at Everton staff....dude you are seriously kin mentally unstable
It's the Lukaku/Cleverley/Deulofeu cash that's bought these players. How is he 'showing ambition' again....?
But we tried last year for the likes of witsel and koulibaly and they wouldn't come. Klassen and sandro are unproven in the premier league, but the other signings have shown their pedigree.Realistic options? We are throwing money around like we are drunk at a casino.
It's sad, but he's became a parody of himself.
Get on board Dave, we are waking out of our coma. Embrace it old bean.
But even when the lad was in form last season, he didn't get any game time with England. Just maybe he need to move on to realise this international ambitions or he can stay with us, continue to work hard, improve his decision making and just maybe he can realise those ambitions with us.at this moment in time, he sadly doesn't get in my best XI. And we're not even done yet. I think he'll stay myself, but he better pull his socks up otherwise he's spending a whole season playing brief cameos and not going to the world cup. It's a massive shame.
