45 Mill should get you an attacking player similar to the likes of Mane Mahrez Willian Sane etc. They might not be the absolute top players in the prem but they all have pace, can play almost anywhere in the attacking third, have creativity and guile and improve the team around them. Basically the level above Walcott but not quite Hazard or De Bruyne.
For the money we wasted on Siggurdson Bolasie and Klaassen we could have had three of these level of players. We would have been far better developing Lookman and Vlasic this season than wasting time on the three aforementioned.

It still astounds me we bought a £45m player and, seemingly, NOBODY asked "so, how do you want to play him?"
We paid £45m for his WhoScored stats because we had Ronald Koeman as our manager and that's the only scouting he bothered doing. £45m. Every single time I read that I want to throw up insides. It's not possible to put into words how bad a manager he is.

We'd be heading for the Championship if he was still here, so I reckon we'd have no transfer budget due to all our £100k+ per week players putting us into crippling debt for the foreseeable future.

A big fish in a small pond at Swansea, went to Spurs failed, we sign him for a stupid price (as far as I can remember nobody else was after him) and I think he has failed here. This is the major problem we have, some here say we need 80% clearing out, whilst that may be the case - who is going to give us anything like what we paid for Sigursson/Bolasie/Klaasen ?

Cant believe the season is at an end and people are still going on about the fee, its not like we put ourselves into a debt we cant get out of too buy him.
He is a good player, but has worked until both Koeman and Sam, of course he has been poor, anyone would be under these two.
