I don't see Tosun or Gueye as definitive starters, it's been a very poor summer indeed if we don't at least have competition for them next year

No. We finished 8th. And we played without any definitive style.

People around here are drumming around how almost the entire team needs changing.

We cant and won't go out on a limb and sign 7 players for the starting 11 next year. Maybe 4, MAYBE. If we sign 3 players who are able to start in the 11 and are all quality signings (we MUST hit the nail on its head here), then it's been a good summer.

We have 4 strikers and Walcott who depending on the occasion is good enough to start there anyway.

Let us stop pretending were a top 4 team. Tosun and Niasse are our level. Don't expect another striker, we honestly don't need another at this stage for crying out loud.

As far as Gueye goes, he can't pass. He is good at recovery, and not much else. He is the weakest link in our 11, atm. Offers nothing going forward, and creating chances is going to be our biggest problem.

1 of Tosun or Niasse, Walcott, Sigurdsson at this stage is a fine platform for a front 4. Add to that Vlasic, Lookman, organic improvement (Dowell) and a new GOOD wide player and it's not half as bad as we're making it out to be.

Tosun I think is a guaranteed starter because we just dont have enough money. With a slight improvement under another manager hed be in place for a 15-17 goal season, which would be top 6-7. Gueye I think isnt guaranteed one, great squad player, but he really is limited to one position, and it depends on who we bring in.
