Yet everyone criticised Ross for not giving Lukaku service. Also, you can compare Barkley to Gylfi at Swansea too and he has better stats in pretty much every department.
Barkley is simply a better player than Sigurdsson. I called it before we signed him - Gylfi is a good player, but he thrives on being the big fish in the small pond. You either set up an entire team around him or he's useless.
Barkley makes others better; Sigurdsson requires others to make him better.

Thought he was bang average last season tbh, and I'm not his biggest fan. That said I think a 4-3-3 will defo get the best out of him
There'll be 3 forwards in front of him occupying their defence so he's able to attack the spaces in front of them. Hopefully he'll have an anchorman behind him so he won't have to worry about defending as much. There'll be more options in front for him to pass to and link up with, and hopefully we'll have a new full back bombing down the left to give him the option of an overlap and free him up a bit.

Actual lol.. barkley was a very good young player with special attributes that you can't coach, he then tirned into a lazy , emotionally fragile, greedy, distracted and confused player that didn't impact games, he's now on the bench every week, lost his England spot, and will probably sit on his arse for a year then move to westham or alike and do absolutely nothing for his entire career, until the age of 32 when (if bill is still here) he will try to come back if the gangsters agree to let him

Forget the price tag. Gylfi is a very good player. I hope this season with more pace and movement around him we will get more out of his ability.
