In real terms Armstrong has done nothing as of yet , hence the loan is a good move for him.

Luckily for ourselves, it seems Eustace likes him.
All it takes is for a manager to lose his job early or even just not fancied by a current manager, or brought in to just make up the numbers could lead to a disastourous season.

Kieran Dowell was flying at Nottingham forest under Mark Warburton in 2017, he got sacked midway through the season and they brought in Karanka, who just didnt fancy Dowell. He took a huge knock from that.

Yeah is key to get him in with a club manager that fits his style is a risk but hopefully add in to the deal we have option to recall if bot olaying ect. Just feel would help him more another season out in loan, could be wrong tho maybe he comes back pre season after this loan and fights his way into moyes plan

Yeah he'll be judged in pre season, wouldn't mind a PSV type loan for a full year, similar to what Branthwaite had

Loan seems to be going OK then after a shaky start.

Weird that some people would rather he replaced Begovic sitting on our bench then playing 90 minutes at a reasonable level each week.

This looks exactly what we wanted out of this loan. Him forcing his way into the team. If he makes the right impression, we either have potential buyers or a potential player on our hands. He may even pick up some things that he might not have picked up under Moyes or in the league. This level looked a bit too fast for him which is understandable at his age. It's not that he can't do it but it's better for him to get regular playing time and experience with a stress free environment. The top level is far from stress free and can ruin players before they are hatched.

As for that pass, I like the look of it. It will serve him well in the league. He looks to have good vision as well.

He reminds me of Wharton at Palace. Hope he develops at the same rate as this lad. Mate whose a ST holder at rovers told me about Wharton 2 years ago and said he was a future England international.
