Looks like Bayern may get Sane so this will be a non starter if so.

Hopefully he at least starts all Nigeria's games in the AFCON

Their last big purchase, Tolisso, cost them 37 million and has played 1600 minutes in the league. While this season was due to an injury, he didnt play that much last season. Gotze was an expensive flop, as was Benatia, Renato Sanches.

For the ones that werent total flops, Douglas Costa they basically broke even on, selling him after 3 seasons, and Thiago and Javi Martinez have been in and out of the lineup for years. Basically not a single one of their high priced purchases has turned out to be THE guy at a position, while 50% have been flops, with the others being mostly squad players getting 1500 minutes a season. Bayern are a top team not because they make great purchases, but because they have financial backing where they can afford to make stupid ones and eat it.

Was just thinking, that Joao Pedro going to Watford in Jan, 17-year old Brazilian.

How can he get a work permit and this lad can't and he's been slotting in European leagues for 3 years now?

We could do with some left footed players on the wing but the left wing is the the area of the pitch we're most stacked in.

Richarlison is now playing more on the right. the position he also plays for brazil when he comes on.

Onyekuru, although right footed has played the vast Majority of games for Anderlecht and Galatasary as a left winger.

I would get him a permit and silva have a good look at him in pre season before deciding to keep/sell/loan.

Have they secured a work permit though?

Wouldn't they only apply for that once he moves to England? Next year?

I doubt they could apply for a permit now given that he is under 18.

But you are right it is odd if they manage to secure him with a permit and all.

I suspect probs not and he’ll just get loaned out. But if Henry doesn’t get one and this kid does in January then we need to ring the police for the FA being a bag of nobs.

I really don't think the issue with Onyenkuru is the work permit - he'll be fine once he plays in the AFCON at least for Part B and if he comes into camp, does well, and they get him a deal in the top 50% to 75% of qualifying wages, he might quality under Part A. And honestly, how would he NOT qualify under the special talent appeal. His numbers in Turkey are unreal for his age as it's a tough league and it's rare that young players do what he has done.

Yep it’s a tough league, normally older players do well there - like 47 year old Robinho for example
