Haven’t seen Silva be overly positive about him tho unfortunately, he doesn’t seem too interested in either of the Walshy Boys out on loan

He seems to have embraced his teammates, too. The fans can be pretty rough, so there is something usually to be gained in playing in that environment. In the game last week against Basaksehir, which was the game for the league basically, Onyenkuru made a couple bad plays early, Galatasary got down and the fans were all over him, whistling, etc. He actually had at least one goal disallowed and eventually scored the winner. It was pretty intense, so that can't hurt as a player in terms of development.

Still think he SHOULD be the odd man out, though, considering how many left sided players we already have - IF we can get the right fee for him.

It could be that Silva realizes the work permit is a bit too much of a headache to become invested. It’s a shame we don’t have European footy because I could see Niksi and Henry shining there/getting minutes. We’d probably be more inclined to keep them if we had it.

That's actually a pretty good point. I still think he'll get the work permit if we pursue it.

I really see something in lookman talent wise and thought Vlasic looked good on the ball in spells and have seen nothing of Henry apart from goal highlights. I can see the “good business” side of the argument but I would really like to give at least one of these a chance. Henry seems a lot of work regarding a permit and Vlasic has publicly said he wants to leave I believe. Those reasons would lead me towards lookman being the one to keep , if the 40m bid is actually received gain I’m torn as it’s fantastic business but if they do bid that amount , I really want to see him here as he must be very highly rated. German clubs usually get cheap or free young players , develop them and sell for massive profits. So a 40m bid really tells me that I would like him here. The bright side of all this is brands, if we were to loose/sell all of these players and got 50-80m then I really think , given his track record that he could get us up to another 6-10 young players from South America etc and potentially selling them for 10-20m each and repeat. He seems to have a very good reputation throughout Europe for scouting, developing young players and seems very professional. Reading back I really don’t know what my point is , I guess realistically and especially if we do get 40m bid for Henry, I’m saying I would prefer to keep lookman sell the others and I have faith brands could turn the money into even more or unearth a real gem like Lozano etc

I think all 3 should be kept really since they’re the only youngsters in the squad currently with any potential and sell on potential too. I know you could argue taking them out of the squad isn’t a loss as they had no impact this season but I think that’s a crap argument as we were woeful most of the season and our bench was woeful all season long. Why not have options to pick from in Henry and Vlasic instead of having to turn to Walcott, Davies and Morgs. Baffles me why people are so quick to want them selling but bum the life out of any 17-year old we get linked with.

I’m with you I want lookman to be played , just that if Vlasic has publicly said he wants to leave and if the work permit is going to be a problem then I could live with them leaving if I had to . This is be because I have faith in brands to find young players. The perfect scenario would be for all three to come on and improve the first team and bench tho
 

Having seen that Nigeria squad, I’d be very shocked if he’s not at least getting on the pitch for most games in the AFCON.
