You can tell jack matey. I believe in democracy. Benn doesn't.

Do you actually think Corbyn is responsible for brexit?

The fact you respect someone who doesn't respect the wishes of the majority would tell me you're a fascist.

It's worse than that, he's a Tory.

We're not just responsible to ourselves, we're responsible to the country.

We're responsible for our own opinion and as a result our own vote. The rest is the democratic process whichwe claim to believe in.

However, watching Benn on Marr just now he carried the arrogance of detachment from the rank and file and seems fully aware that tjis coup will lead to the demise of the Labour party as a democratic and representative entity. Traitor.

I preferred it when you just "liked" posts. Less hassle.

Until Corbyn stands as leader in a general election we cannot know whether he has a majority support (or as close to one as the system allows) of the people. At the moment the party he is in has given him a mandate to prepare for this test. Everyone else in the party should back the democratic decision and, at the very least, not make it more difficult for him.

At least that is my view.

Other points of view are available.

Some say that we get the politicians we deserve.........

I have over 31,000 posts on here...

You're blind to reality. If you want to be an ever diminishing light in politics in the UK then that's fair enough, that's your decision. That isn't why I put my money where my mouth is through my membership fee though. So we're just going to continue to disagree.

Corbyns policies aren't even his main problem, he is a terrible orator, useless at pmqs and doesn't engage The public

At least the Labour Party have waited until after the referendum to rip themselves apart in public and get a new leader, the Tories used the referendum campaign itself for that.

Then you need to revisit the representative part of the party. You elect people to represent your views. You don't allow them to select from among themselves who will further the careers of the PLP. They just want to further the gravy train. I mean, Hodge? Really?.A tax avoider. Calling for greater leadership. Great, when we all earn enough to afford not to pay tax I'll vote for her. But we don't and the labour movement needs to look at itself and remember it is supposed to care about and for,all people. Not just the guardianistas and the latte swilling new labourites.
If we need a split, so be it, been too long kow towing to moneyed careerist opinions in labour for too long.
It isn't about 'getting elected' it's about representing the people first
If we did that we wouldn't be in this mess now.

HMM seems the blairites are looking hamping up the pressure and creating media coverage.

One wonders if there a report due to be released soon which might not paint them in the best of lights

HMMM
