Regarding JC, pardon my ignorance, but perhaps some one can set out what his policies/ideas are to be pursued? That way pehaps we can all get a better angle to see where he is coming from and going to.

When the Brexit button is pushed it has been set out by amongst others the EU that it should be done and dusted in 2 years and we are OUT. Now the timetable would take that to late 2018. TBH I cannot see a GE being called before 2020, the Tories are in charge and want to stay that way as long as possible. Scotland by 2018 will push to leave the UK and all those MP seats with them. Without the Scotland support it is possible Labour will be in the wilderness for some time. To me it is imperative that common sense should be used and sort out their mess. The country will need an effective opposition in the Commons.

he still represented his constituents, not being a cabinet member etc, still championed the causes of those without a strong voice in parliament.

Seems having convictions and beliefs are anathema to you.
Not true, i admired anyone who has strong conviction and beliefs even if I completely disagree with them. I'm simply sceptical of supposedly principled people who remain within the very establishment they claim to despise. I have nothing but respect for the TUSC party. A legit Socialist party, I just can't understand why any real commited Socialist would choose to stay in the Blairite government (which was more Conservative then the Conservative's at one point!) I'm sure you'll say he was loyal to the party in which case I'd say he picked party over principle. I have several good friend's who are all commited members of TUSC and their all former member of the Labour party who left once they realised it didn't reflect their views anymore. Why did Corbyn not do the same? I've no doubt he's more committed to noble causes then most of your average politician but I still don't think that he's a disciple of Jesus as some of his acolytes would have us believe and I don't believe he's capable of leading a major party to a general election victory.

Realistically, TUSC isn't going to get very far unless it gets more affiliated unions. You are much more likely to change Labour from the inside than you are to get TUSC to the point where it has any reasonable chance of winning power.
Corbyn was a backbencher during the Blair government, he didn't form part of the government. He was part of the PLP at the time, but not the government.
Equally, there's the last two lines of The Red Flag:
"Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer, We'll keep the red flag flying here. "

He was a backbencher under the Labour banner at the time Tony Blair was in power. Why would it be such a drag for him to go to TUSC and attempt to make it a bigger party then if he's such a man of principle? I don't agree your more likely to get Labour to change then TUSC electable, this current turmoil is proof that the Blairite's will never surrender the party. If enough real commited high profile Socialist's joined TUSC it could change everything. We live in very interesting times. Both the Conservative's and Labour are suffering due to their disconnect fo from their support, it's very possible we could be looking at massive gaines for UKIP on the right and TUSC on the left by the next election.

I would love to think TUSC would do something, but its far too cliquey an organization even by left wing standards. If they do bin Corbyn off for yet more of the same, people just won't vote.

McDonnell stepping in would steady the ship I reckon. Miles more accomplished performer than Jeremy and the Blairites might wear him to avoid break-up of the party.
I know he clearly stated he wouldn't, but circumstances could change so it wouldn't be an act of betrayal of his old mate. JC is toast so he could play it as being forced on him.

Lol, Katie Hopkins has given her "backing" to Jeremy Corbyn. It's either a cynical ploy to put people off Corbyn (and by simply associating her name with his it would possibility work) or she's being paid off by Alistair Campbell. Neither would surprise me frankly but one thing is certain, she would never say/do anything that would that she thought would benefit the Labour Party.

Don't give her any attention. She's paid for controversy.
