Looking at Malta early March for 4-6 days just a quick getaway celebrating a couple of birthday milestones, two of us that is.
A few mates mostly all Blues...
Anyone with advice as to temperatures and resorts there at this time of year would be helpful ..
Cheers

Where i am now is a lot warmer.
Its me mate who has suggested Malta.....can,t see why
But one does what one has too just to go with the flow...

Going to Mexico in a couple of weeks and never been before. Staying in Riveria Maya area. Anyone been and have any ideas of things that are worth doing ect.
Also is better to take just dollars rather than Mexico’s own currency?
Went last year and absolutely loved it. A trip down to Tulum to see the Mayan temples is worth it as is a day trip into Playa Del Carmen where you can get a boat trip to the island opposite. Some of the beaches at hotels can be ropey due to the type of seaweed (has a name I can’t recall). As ever keep your wits about you if you go out of your hotel and if you’re going to book a trip, do it with the people where you are staying.

Personally I took dollars and they were accepted in shops and as tops etc. If you’re going to take your card make sure you let your bank know, was a bit embarrassing having my card declined when buying the cheapest fags ever!

I'm going to the isle of wight for 2 weeks. Got a dog now so gives me an excuse to go in the UK that I've always wanted.

Anyone been?

I live in Tenerife which is why i can,t understand my mate wanting to go to Malta,he has been here a few times so maybe he wants a change of scenery...
COYBL25 you,re not the first to tell me that about it being a bit ropey.
Suppose there,s always a first time for everthing...

About a million times! Living in Southampton for so long it was a nice easy trip. I quite like it over there even though the residents have 8 fingers on each hand.

Unless you`re going in a high end hotel ( usually full of Germans ) I`d avoid Malta like the plague.

It`s a dump and if you`re looking for a lads holiday it`s 100% the wrong place at this time of year.

It`s one of the only two places in the world that I`d never go back to, Gibraltar being the other one - another dump.

The Canary Islands are predictably shoite, as is the Algarve, thoroughly shoite !

Me and some friends are going Tokyo around Sept. Can't wait. I've always wanted to visit Japan.

I was in Tokyo in October, circumstance sort disrupted our time there so don't think I got the most out of it. But it's an ace city. Kyoto is ace too but there is a danger of overdose on temples if you stay there too long.

How long are you there for? We spent 2 nights in Hiroshima and regretted not spending more there. The city is interesting and there are lots of things to do in the surrounding region (e.g. Miyajima island). It's quite far from Tokyo though.

Nikko was pretty impressive too if you're sticking close to Tokyo.
