How do we ‘fix’ the relationship between fans and the club?

For all his footballing IQ faults, Lampard was a good point of connection between the club and the fans as people liked him. Dyche does not have a ‘bed side manner’ when it comes to the fans. I agree with you that Dyche is certainly not suited to getting the supporters on side. It’s only a side issue as you get them onside with performances from the team, but he’s not a good relationship manager when it comes to the supporters.

Dyche doesn't want anything to do with the fans. You can almost see him sigh when the Everton interviewer inevitably asks him to praise the crowd. That's absolutely fine if you're getting results...

And the highest praise he can usually give is "I've never had a problem with the fans."

Imagine rocking up at work and a bloke with a millionth of your talent and none of the dedication calls you a c*** for being crap at a job he'd last four seconds in before having a heart attack?

Stick to your fantasy team lad.

Can't believe people moaning that Dyche doesn't blow smoke up our fans arses, that's something usually craved from our cult like dear neighbours. Do we need praise like a set of performing monkeys? He is just a proffesional trying to do a job.
He does not love the club or have any ties and that's how his attitude comes across.

That fella at Euston is a clown but the fanbase is angry and rightly so. But it's bigger than the manager or players and has been for a long, long time.

You can't keep asking a fanbase for patience and calm when in the last few seasons we've been false accused of headlocks by the board, tried desperately to get into bed with criminals, and hired absolutely whopper managers. The club needs to hold its hands up, apologise and make more of the effort to rebuild the bond.

I think if Dyche sat down with Giulia Bould for an extended interview it would help him massively. Let him tell us what his impressions of EFC are and what he thinks has gone wrong previously. And hire Alan Myers back, or someone who did what he used to do. Be the saint who listens to the miserable gripes of fans and yet stays always polite and tries to help if he/she can.

Put on some proper events at Goodison, and make the ticket prices sensible so we can sell it out or come close. Charging £55 upwards for the likes of Drenthe and Strac. As if rubbing in supporters face how farcically bad we've been over the years. Instead try book the likes of Gareth Barry, Nigel Martyn, Kanchelskis, etc. Pienaar and Jelavic to reminisce about that Christmas 2012 win at the death against Spurs. Carsley and his winner in the derby. Amo for the 1995 semi. Is any of this stuff beyond the realms of possibility?!

So many little things that can be done that would make such a difference that the club is too clueless to think of.

Well the state of the club starts right at the very top and we have an owner who simply doesn’t care and just wants shot of us.

That means that attitude and ineptitude filters down the club and ultimately the team who we pay money to watch every week.

The club is in a right mess from top to bottom and only a change of ownership with a change in culture will change that.

I completely understand the frustration the fans have we those who run the club and some of the players but it’s not a good look abusing players after the game

I did think given it's our last season at Goodison and how much fans want to visit the old lady for one last time. It was disrespectful to our legacy really for the ground to empty out like how it did. Shows a small club mentality imo.
