We are all Evertonians. It shouldnt matter where anyone comes from.

I beleive Howard has done great for USA in recent times? Thats good but he has been pish for us for at least a year now.

He was a quality keeper a few years ago for Everton, currently he is a liability. People earlier mentioned all those games he has kept us in lately. I say name them.

I really do like Tim Howard the bloke. I really do. But his basic errors are really starting to get out of hand.

Possibly the most ridiculous thing I've read on here recently.

Most local people on here don't have an England bias, never mind a European bias!

A scouse bias would be a better avenue of debate, but then I see Ossie and Hibbert regularly getting a lot of stick from many.

i think i made a mistake by picking him ahead of reina in my merseyside XI and that is saying something.

I think Gomes is a shockingly bad keeper. Defenders have zero faith in him. But like Howard he makes some brilliant saves. That really aint enough though.

As for the other 3 yeah why not. Lloris certainly and Cuducini and Friedel are at least on par I reckon.

I would say the local lads have always got more stick in general. Throw Rodwell and Anichebe in the mix there too.

Lol, I know! Perhaps they're confusing it with anti-American bias, which although exists sometimes, really isn't the problem in this case
 

Friedel is a better keeper than Tim, it's only his age really.

Friedel is a monster of a keeper, actually.

Lloris is one of the finest keepers in the world, considered by some to be the best at the moment -- not sure I agree, but no one thinks the same about Howard.

Cudicini is a good keeper but you can't compare first choice keepers with reserve ones. Howard plays 10x more and so has 10x as many chances to make a mistake.

Gomes isn't a keeper. He's a clown.

Not tied to Everton. Americans, right or wrong, feel disrespected across Europe. I'm not saying that's how I feel. It was brought up how Americans furiously defend their players whether right or wrong. I was merely offering explanation. SOME Americans feel that their players are looked down upon.
 
Yeah, I'd take Lloris over Howard. I'd take Messi over Pienaar too.

Friedel's always been the better keeper. Disappointed he retired from international football when he did.

Gomes is terrible and Cudicini is just collecting a paycheck.
 
based on cudicini when he stepped in for chelsea i meant. never let them down, he should have played way more football than he has done, based on when he has played i haven't seen him look unconfident or make any cock-ups. gomes is a clown but didn't he improve considerably a couple of seasons ago when he got use. maybe i'm just fuming at howard and unfairly basing my opinion on it.

still spurs have defintitely 2, IMO 3 better keepers than our first choice and i still think we have a realistic chance of finishing above them this season. there are rumours of boruc coming here, if he did, i'd like to think moyes would have enough confidence to put him in the 1st team if howard cocks up again. i know this wont happen though, we'll just be wasting wages on 3 keepers when only 1 will ever play
