This thread continues to crack me up but more importantly validates the fact that there are Evertonians who constantly confuse "form" with "not good enough."
Oh, and the two people who love this thread?
1) Tony Hibbert
2) Leon Osman
I have no problem with getting in competition for Howard. We have it in the national team with Guzan now that he's playing. But "our first priority to get another GK/replace Howard" - there are other positions that need depth. Namely, DM, LB and LM being three of them. GK is not #1 for me by a longshot.
By supporting our players you support the team. You are more than welcome to dislike players, but the amout of recent scapegoating on Tim takes it to a new level. I wasn't around for the Dustbin years. Sounds similar. (And Tim's stats do not justify the level of weirdness going on in here.)
Sorry, just on a side note, could we stop calling him "Dustbin". Reminds me of another forum...
I don't he has deserved to be called that, ever.

I hate nicknames full stop. All players for me should be treated like schoolboys. Last names only
I always call players by their first names at the match, guess I'm a bit weird like that. 'Go on Leighton' etc
None of that Peanuts or Apoliopus jarg though.
That's my stance. He's not perfect (he is crummy on crosses into the box for both Everton and his national team - totally consistent and a problem in his game), but right now, fine with me.
When Moyes bothers to find this other fabulous keeper somewhere we'll have the conversation. Or when Howard starts to truly suck. A few games into the season? Meh. Keep on truckin' Tim.
And to be clear - I have no issue with competition. I just don't think we are going to go purchase a keeper without spending a crap load of money that's better than Tim. And apparently the Club agrees since we just signed him through 2016 or something like that. We have other priorities unless you want to see Phil Neville as Gibson's back up until he's 40.
I would replace perfectly good keeper with best of a bad bunch, myself. But yeah, he's not the player he was but he's still aceptable if not outstanding at this level.
I think most sensible people know thats stats alone tell you **** all about a game of football.
