I think you've missed my point mate. I mean you end up trying to kid yourself cause they're leaving, looking for reasons why you'll be better off in the long run, when ultimately your just gutted that the best defender Everton have had for over 20 years is getting off to some other club.

Something like that, but the thing that bothers me is that we, Everton, may not be trying hard enough to keep him. He's not going to fade away like Rodwell, and any perceived faults will be ironed out quickly by a better coach.

That coach won't be Koeman and that'll be a pity.

Jags pre knee injury was the best defender this club has had since the last title win. He was the best in the league and I am sure we could have won the cup in 09 had he and Arteta not been badly injured.

We tend to forget just how good some of our players have been, just like the media enjoy bypassing anything we attempt to do.

Stones is a wonderful player with the ball at his feet but he is far from the best defender currently. Koeman could change that though should he remain here.

Not always about buying flavour of the month players. Hopefully if Gueye signs he will go on to be a big success here.

Ive agreed deals in Shanghai, confirmed everything over email once back in Singapore....gone on holiday and then seen a totally different proposal signed upon my return.
