If Martinez went.....

*sticks hand up in the air*

I have never looked forward to matchdays as much since Gary Lineker was scoring for fun.

Upper Bullens STH, 1970s Street Ender.........credentials, impeccable.
You masochist.
I like that bisela guy who got chile playing some great stuff and managing to defend as well

He won't go, and nor should he.

He should be given until the end of the season to turn things around and re-evaluate then. We're playing some of the best stuff we have in years going forward - but ultimately, our defending, as a unit, has not been up to par.

If we were to change in the summer, I'd go for Quique Sanchez-Flores. Fantastic manager, with the same general principles as Martinez re. attacking. However, he knows the importance of defensive work. There was an interview with Ben Watson (who of course played under RM at Wigan) and he said that every day Watford work on defensive shape, and it's paying off.

Our players are of the quality now where not focusing on attack in training wouldn't hinder them. That side of the game is and should be down to improvisation, skill and the chemistry you have with players around you.

Benfica played quite poorly when Flores was their manager. I would for Leonardo Jardim from Monaco, his teams play good, solid football and I don't believe he's had a poor season in his career yet. Never going to happen unfortunately.

ERM can't we just give our manager a chance to build his team. I would rather judge him after 5 years.

Like Villa thought with Lambert?
Or Newcastle with Shearer?

If the bloke can't get us higher than 11th with the leagues most inform striker he's not going to do it when Rom buggers off in the summer.

I'd wait for RM to get us a few more wins and league safety and then replace him, leaving the new man with 12 - 15 pretty meaningless league games in which to bed in and start to introduce his own ideas and approach in a relatively unpressured league environment. That amount of time would also be enough to find out if the appointment was a real turkey (a Mike Walker) in which case we'd have the chance in the closed season to make a hopefully better appointment.

If Martinez left tomorrow, how many other top teams in the Prem would consider him?

Would be interesting to know how highly he's regarded by the rest of the league.

Koeman would be a great manager for us, those who don't rate him off this season forget he's had to sell about 7 of his best players in the last 2 seasons and lost his first choice keeper and best striker to long term injuries.

Give him our squad and he would have us top 6.

Takeovers happening due to Bills health mate.
Bobby will be seen through straight away and him and timmy will be off
I think the progression of the younger players and the on-going work in the academy has more to do with the buyout than BK health.
We have 4 or 5 players now that could fetch around 200ml, this is proof that the club have a manager that can get the full potential out of younger players and for a consortium that will be looking for profit this will be a god send to them.

Also lets not kid ourselves a fair amount of money coming in from TV so that will also sway the decisison
