If Martinez went.....

His reputation as an attacking coach is being enhanced by the week.....once he sorts the defensive side out he is going to be a coach in demand IMO.

I agree with you.

However, how long is acceptable to sort out the defensive side? He's been a PL manager since 2009 and this is his 7th season as a PL manager.

He has conceded an average of 60 goals per season.

I personally feel he (alone) cannot sort out the defensive side.

Well, we already know he had turned diwn both Villa (before the fall) and the RS.

So I don't think Bobby would struggle to find work, if not at the very top, certainly close to the top.

Slobbery chops Redknapp once said the only thing holding him back was lack of resources and a decent playing squad. If he got one, he'd be going places.

The problem for Martinez is arguably he's had both of those... and still had the same problems.

Interestingly, you can't spell problems without robles - he's brought both of them to Everton!

You know the way Gary Neville left Sky to manage Valencia?

How about Jamie Carragher leaving them to manage us?

He is a boyhood Blue.

I am assuming Big Dunc has had the impact on Rom that has turned him from a good goal scorer who can't receive a ball or link the play to a truly world class forward, maybe the answer is getting a defensive coach in maybe we could tempt Stubbsy back, just a thought. Martinez should stay as we all agree we have the strongest squad since the 80's and the expectation to go and win something is felt by everyone....he has created that.

Confirmed Kopite, don't even try and pretend this was humorously sarcastic.

Vaulted for all eternity

I,d love to see a combo approach of an older wiser head supported by a younger manager in waiting.

Ranieri + Eddie Howe. Imagine that combo on the side line for our club. We can dream eh.
