If Martinez went.....

I just hope it goes through mate
I do

Always wanted a owner that would just give us enough to compete, but fear is now we are falling behind even the likes of Palace in the financial aspects of the game.

It will be a gamble, similar to RM but we need to take a couple to try and improve overall

If Martinez left tomorrow, how many other top teams in the Prem would consider him?

Would be interesting to know how highly he's regarded by the rest of the league.

Well, we already know he had turned diwn both Villa (before the fall) and the RS.

So I don't think Bobby would struggle to find work, if not at the very top, certainly close to the top.

His reputation as an attacking coach is being enhanced by the week.....once he sorts the defensive side out he is going to be a coach in demand IMO.

I just hope we see that metamorphis while he is here with us.

Re how he is regarded by the rest of the league, on other general football forums I frequent lots of people who watch us play say we are a "top goalkeeper" away from becoming a major force.

The only people I find slagging him of card our own fans on this forum.

That said, the goalkeeping situation has been allowed to fester and is the biggest drain on both our confidence and our prospects this season.

And my belief is that Bobby had lost faith in Joel.....otherwise surely he would have been given a run in the team by now, other than when Howard is injured.

I tried telling them this the other night.

Around Christmas 1983 after a run of games in which we failed to score a goal, never mind win a game, "Kendall out" slogans were painted on the walls outside both Goodison and Bellefield.

And this situation today is nowhere near as bleak as things looked back then.

If/when Martinez were to leave the club then the selection of Managers would be far different than those listed on here.

Were talking what, at least 3 seasons away?

We could be on to something special here, alternatively it could turn out to be nothing

I sit in the camp of hoping something will happen, as we have nearly all the right ingrediants

i wouldnt mind getting an assistant manager in who will basically take control of the defensive aspects of things, corners, organisation etc. im starting to genuinely think martinez just sacks off even mentioning it. on paper weve actually got a good defence.

Correct.

Everything I have seen on the pitch this season points to this.

The ingredients are there.

;)
