Nice try, Everton had a great win today, meanwhile your trying to be negative and take no.pleasure in it, we've given ourselves a chance to stay up.
Delighted with the win
Just not giving Kenwright any credit for it, but you had your regular swipe at moshiri for us being in the relegation battle in the first place, so I responded, simples
You got called out and spin the narrative as per
so yea, nice try

Speaking from the experiences of 94 and 98, the relief only lasts the day. Then you spend the next week thinking about how we got into the mess in the first place.

Once bitten twice shy and all that. Actually celebrating that we have stayed up appeases the people who run the club as they then believe they are off the hook because the fans are happy. Especially Kenwright as he wallows in it.

We have to make it clear that going through this nightmare two years in succession is completely unacceptable.

I will celebrste :pint2:

(but not ‘til dawn as those days are behind me :()

And why not?

Since November we have been involved in a titanic struggle to avoid relegarion.

Who will ever forget that black day in January when Frank was fired, Danjama reneged on us and Saints…flaming Saints… beat us to the Soleyman signing.

At times we have looked doomed.

The press were salivating at the thought of us going down.

The F.A. ( or the PL) stuck the knife in when we were already reeling, with a points reduction threat.

Chairman Bill and the board declared war on us then told lies about DBB being “manhandled”.

We haven’t had a fit striker worthy of the name until this last couple games.

Our talismanic skipper was carried off on his metaphorical shield.

Practically everything that could go wrong did go wrong.

And yet here we stand tonight, punching back and looking good.

So yes.

Hell yes….if we stay up I will come out of the Bournemouth game a’ hootin’ an’ a’ hollerin’ down Spellow Lane like it was Rotterdam in 1985

And who knows…maybe this arl geezer will celebrate until dawn ;)

We will have a smaller squad, and little money to spend…. We will
Still circle the drain…. We have to change the narrative

I'm angry this time. I was angry last season too, but I was also upset then and winning like we did against Palace broke my resolve to not celebrate as I lost it in the moment. I won't be doing anything similar this time. This is where Everton Football Club is in 2023 and will remain forever more while Moshiri, Kenwright and co remain at the club. My concern for the club has gone beyond staying up at this point because there won't be an Everton FC to support ten years from now if this board of scumbags remain in control. In a perfect world we'll be safe before the final day and so be able to entirely turn our collective anger on the scumbags ultimately responsible for this whole affair.

I was out til stupid o’clock last time , singing and celebrating but I’ve made a conscious effort that it won’t happen this time . It was a combination of seeing the players acting like we’d won a trophy in the dressing room, the ‘never again’ from the club and huge mismanagement at the top from those who seem determined to ruin us so I’m angry this time . Tired , drained , frustrated but mostly angry . I’ll feel huge relief if we get out of this and I celebrated yesterday but it won’t be the same final day , I honestly think it’ll turn quite quickly.

Nothing like a fate-tempting, knee-jerk thread after a rare good result.
If it's any consolation, I voted for us to go down. Just wanted to gauge the mind-set of fellow Evertonians who are tired of being a laughingstock.
Going down is the only way this once-great club will experience any significant change.
