Illiman takes up Gomes's squad spot in my opinion, rather than the Dukes.

Gomes scored 4 goal and 7 assists in 114 games for us.

Illiman i think will vastly improve on that output and influence and if he does we will be better.

He's vastly better value then Gomes also.

It’s a squad game, some games he might be playing 10, others he might play wide, sometimes Doucoure will play. No one has to replace anyone. We only really had the option for any sort of rotation based on form last season in midfield where Garner Gueye and Onana could swap without a drop off in form. Nearly every offer position we had to play the same players pretty much all the time or the results suffered. If Ndiaye offers a credible option that Dele Danjuma Dobbin didn’t offer us last season then it’s an improvement.

He is technically a poor player yes, but through his energy and agility he can be an effective player - for me he is more an impact sub

Having players like him is a massive reason we don’t score enough and have so little possession.

How many other teams in the league would have him as a first choice player? Never mind one of their “ big” players

I dont generally pine for players we sell, but Richy, he was kinda special and he needs us right now.

Yep agree with you….Im just saying where I see his ‘value’ e.g. not a 90 minute footballer but he does bring enough energy and dynamism to create confusion certainly in the final third….his salary is largely irrelevant simply because he’s in what he is on, Dyche can’t effect that but he can effect how he uses him if he has choices which by all accounts this new signing may give him.m
