I mean no, you can’t.

We literally did the correct thing signing Branthwaite from Carlisle didn’t we. Or Dom from Sheff Utd.
Yes and both Branthwaite and Dom took a few years to actually develop and nail down a spot. I’m not arguing the point that you need to buy prospects cheap and develop them but sometimes you need to spend on a player that can contribute immediately. It’s a balancing act, you can’t just say ‘why didn’t we get X before he went to X’ for every transfer…

Dave supporting a new player, im shook, cant have anything to do with his Irish roots, oh no.

Wait, you think Branners is getting dropped????

….yep, I knew him a little because he was in digs with a close friend of mine. There was an issue I won’t go into here but he was a very good player. I have it in mind that Keegan spent a lot of time with him off the pitch and helped him lots.
Always loved the honey monster. Pitty it didn't work out for him here. Never forget his performance for Ireland v the Russians in Moscow

My biggest gripe with this signing is it shows how piss poor our scouting is. Lad went for peanuts last Summer which means we’re basically just signing him on last season’s showing and nothing beforehand.
Look at the positives mate. Transfers being done early for once and more than we probably would have thought. Branthwaithe still here. Maybe the scouting aspect might be changing too. No point looking back on the last few seasons of turd transfers. Onward and upward. 🤞

Long term ofc we did, but neither of them walked into the team, Jarrod and DCL both took a few years to start to feature.

But unless you wanna turn into Zatara mate with a squad of prepubescents then you can't always sign the player 'before' they've actually shown they can handle that step up.

Take our business this season - Tim could very well turn into one of those players, but premier to premier there's a huge premium, if you think palace would sell him to us for 1m you're living in cuckoo land, they gave a massive fid punt and btw have a big sell on fee because they are in essence a sister club almost.

He was 22 when he left Palace last Summer mate. Chill with the word vomit please and be concise.
