James McCarthy

I think you're being a bit naive tbh mate. Plenty of players get stick for all kinds of reasons. The fact is until Moyes they where the dominant force in English football and as such they'll still look at the very top bracket of players. James is a little bit under that if you're honest with yourself.
I do agree, but James is a specialist in that role unlike, Jones (CD), Fellaini (AM?) Cleverley (???)
James is doing the job for us that has been asked of the players at Utd and they've failed to deliver.
To that extent he'd be a better option for them than whoever else they've currently got. The fact that in this day and age they'll go out and spend twice the amount it would cost for James on a 'Name' player (if they carry on with this system)

Think McCarthy will be with us for as long as Martinez is.

For a young lad he is very mature - he has realised that nothing improves your game quite like playing and he at ~250 (150 in the premier league). He knows that in Roberto's system if he is fit he is a guaranteed starter and that he will ensure he's dealt a fair hand financially. He also seems very family orientated, think he likes our relaxed dressing room and having his Irish colleagues like Coleman around.

His role is more valuable in a system like ours. I doubt they've got the money to get him either way TBH. His value to us is ridiculous IMO.

Roy Keane's quote in the Irish times today.good on him.

As to the idea that he might be about to be one of United’s new recruits, the Corkman was clearly sceptical.
“He’s only been at Everton two minutes. He’s obviously making good progress but I’m pretty sure that with Manchester United there’ll be talks of lots of players going there at the moment but James is at a good club in Everton; he’s had a decent couple of seasons and if he keeps progressing then who knows but I’m sure he’s happy where he is."

Plucky little Man Utd must have troubles recruiting without the prestige of European football.

Italy is a different ball game compared to the rest of Europe. For the last few days of the transfer window the owners / Chairmen and football agents rent out a hotel and they all go on the lash together to sort out the transfers.
Imagine if they did that ahahaha. Sky Sports CCTV cameras in the corner.

What are these numbers mate?

Edit: Never mind, just got it... der!.. long day :)

Its gonna take Bobby longer than a season to turn peoples perceptions of us around as a club I'm afraid, after eleven years of the other fella's "punching above our weight" mantra, but there's no-one else I would love to be in charge of our destiny than Señor Martinez,he talks us up at every possible opportunity!
