Look, he's stated he came here for Ancelotti and he's talking last night obliquely about things happening before the end of thr month as he's not getting a game on saturday.

How disloyal does a player have to get before you criticise him...or is your loathing of Benitez that great you cant see it as disloyalty but an opportunity for you to get a dig in at Benitez...because that's all there is to this.
 
He's wrong for the manager. Benitez wants players who work hard and stay disciplined. This isn't his style. He'd be better off leaving for a slower league with less tackling. Hopefully someone will pay a nominal fee.

He’s not being disloyal, he just wants to play football and Benitez clearly doesn’t rate him for the way he wants to play.

I really want James to stay and be our attacking focal point this season as I think he’s fantastic but if Benitez isn’t going to play him then he needs to go as we need to free up the wages/get a fee to bring in an attacker more suited.
 
We're looking to get top 8-10 this season. To consolidate and stop the rot.

We need disciplined and energetic players to achieve that.

It makes perfect sense to get a player like James off the books and use the salary and any fee to get a player in who can contribute.

Tell me I'm wrong.

Which would be a massive problem as we have no goal scoring midfielders. If we play a front 3 we need the. All to be contributing a good goal return

Have you not read my post above ? If he’s going then fine sell him if it’s part of a plan that’s ok too, if i move is close I get it but the evidence seems to be the manager made a decision to banish him to the bomb squad the minute he arrived.

Its not me that’s drawn battle lines and won’t move, im Ok with decisions that allow my club to move forward that’s why Its a huge part of my life . What I don’t understand is the decision as it appears at the moment .

All supposition.

We KNOW what a waster James is - missing games because he feels like. We dont know what the situation is in training, but we can make the connection between a player like him who wants to choose when he plays and Benitez's apparent decision to train him away from the group.

Any manager would do that, IF that's what has happened.

I mean I don't disagree with anything he has said. There is a game on sat he doesn't know of he is playing (lots of managers don't say who is playing until the day of or the day before), he has said we aren't the best team which is hardly a lie, but said that we can compete with anyone, saying we have a decent enough squad to give anyone a game, and that lots can change by the end of the month and he doesn't know where he is playing.

Is any of that a lie or disloyalty? Hardly, because all the rumours are that benitez has told him he won't be playing and should leave, so why would he then expect to play?

But again mate we are moaning over imaginary scenarios that haven't even happened. If the club sign McNeil they sign McNeil - who knows what system/tactics the management want.

This whole summer has been nothing but people crying over things that haven't even happened and may not happen

1. Harry Winks signing
2. Benitez losing at Anfield 7-0
3. Richarlison out on the right playing crap
4.EFC being relegated playing the worst togger since Wally Smith.

Our most technically gifted player for years, and the lids don't want him at the club because hE DoEsN'T wErK HaRd EnUfF or hE CaN'T RuN MaTe and HiS AtTiTuDE sTiNkS

Such an English 'Do it Easy' attitude, that. We wouldn't know flair if it camped out in the driveway on hunger strike. And don't give me yada yada yada modern game, no passengers, high press and intensity. You get that from a strong spine, not from your playmaker. If we got a couple of midfielders and centre backs who could tackle, hold and distribute the ball under pressure, and told Dom to try and win the ball back instead of jogging around it then Jameth's defections off the ball wouldn't be half as much of an issue as they are in a team that spends most of the 90 in a low block.
 
Club needs to tell this lad straight, any more public announcements to the media and on twitch and you will be suspended.

Hes making us look like a laughing stock. We all know he couldn't care less but at least show some professionalism until we can get rid.
