So I tried to find a number and instead just read a paper for 15 minutes that said teams are getting slightly older (written in 2018) but also pegs peak age as more or less 25 to 27. Regardless of the trends 29 is past peak and we need to be aware of this.

No in this case it was someone else's opinion.

The best player is x age doesn't make that age the peak. Messi was the best for a decade. The peak of everyone else wasn't just his age for ten years.

At the age of 29 he scored more goals in his entire career, that to me suggests that Son is not past his peak and at 29 is very much AT his peak, with who knows how much improvement to make.

At the age of 32 Bobby L scored more goals in DAS SPL than any player thats ever come before him.

seriously though mate...you are having a mare with this narrative. 20 years ago players were at their peak at 30
With the advances is Sport science etc, careers will be extended and the peak performance on average will be extended if anything
Tarkowski has a good contract length few years ahead of him, can play 90min, is tough as an old boot and we aren't getting on a free for resale value
his age and experience is a good thing, not a bad thing
