He's hardly set the premier League alight.
Big Tark is ours according to Matt Law.
Of the current squad I would think that Coleman,Rondon,Delph,Sigurdsson ,Tosun, Begovic and Townsend are past their prime already, but at least two will leave this summer.Within our current squad, in the next few years, lets assume few = 3, we will have :
3 players approaching their prime
9 players in their prime
9 players potentially past their prime
So that gives us 3 years to replace the bottom 9 players.
Tarky would make it 10.
We signed Gbamin as a much younger player and look what has happened to him. So far Tarkoswki has a good injury record, plays in a position where he could play for another four or five years. The issue here is Tarky.
His starting point, hes 30 a few months into the season, we can both agree that is on the wrong side of what most would consider his prime.
But you seem to think we get 12 months before his legs start falling off and we are left with another player on huge wages that we cant shift. A noble glass half full option. But may I present to you the half a glass option. He maintains a decent level for 3 years, his contract expires and he moves on, after giving us 3 years of decent service. HEY?
Anyway, we have done this, ive never really rated the fella, so yet again, his only attraction is the fact that hes FREE and hes not injury prone, sign me up.
