Well that's clear mate.

We do have money, but will need to shift some of the squad - that's nothing suspicious, it's just fact.

But to have that extra £13m available will be handy. Could be the difference between getting a centre-back we want or a cheaper alternative, for example.

I think it remains to be seen if we have a war chest mate, with hiring and firing managers we have spent close to 40 mill before you factor in back rooms. To put that in context it’s about our net spend last summer.

Can’t be good for the business.

I think there will be players definitely coming in during January.

Luke Shaw at £20M
Hodgeson doesn't fancy Benteke so will offload him. Palace want Giroud on loan (he wants regular footy to get in the World Cup Squad) as a replacement.
And Kone from Sunderland for peanuts as a 4-5 choice CB (depending on if Jags gets moved on or not.

Benteke and Kone aren't that inspiring, but Sam has got great things out of the previously and will tide us over until the Summer.
I'd actually quite like to see us put in a loan bid for David Luiz, I utterly despise him but he'd get a game here and improve us.

Would be a disaster to sign that lot

I wonder who we will see out the door...

Toffees boss will hold one-on-one meetings with his squad over the next few weeks to ensure they are ready to give their all for him.

If not, they can expect to be on their way out of Goodison in the New Year as Allardyce plots how best to ensure Everton keep climbing the table.

Asked if all players have a clean slate under him following the sacking of Ronald Koeman, Allardyce replied: “If every player is honest enough, when I can finally get through the one-on-ones, and they tell me if they want to stay or they don’t.

“Do you want to stay, or don’t you want to stay? If you are going to be honest with the manager, or they want to leave it a bit longer, see how it goes to January and then see what’s what. I’ll deal with it.

“I don’t want anyone here who doesn’t want to be here.”

Koeman splashed over £100m on Gylfi Sigurdsson, Davy Klaassen, Michael Keane and Nikola Vlasic in the summer.

But they have rarely lived up to their price tags and Allardyce wants to know if they, and the rest of his players, are ready to roll up their sleeves.

Admitting he is open to the idea of a clear out next month, Allardyce added: “If people want to move because it hasn’t quite worked or they have not settled quite as well as they thought they might, or it’s not quite what they thought… up until then all these guys have a chance.

“By the same token there’s always a price pay and the club accepts we are not going to be mugs and let people leave the club under value in today’s market.”

Allardyce will also be interested to see if Ross Barkley’s desire to leave Goodison is still the same with Koeman gone.

The Everton boss will look to make additions in January, with a striker still top of the priority list.

But he is wary of blowing cash on a player who cannot guarantee goals, especially as the jury is still out with Everton fans over his appointment despite Sunday’s 1-1 draw with rivals Liverpool.

He added: “It is the hardest thing to recruit players who score goals. Is he the right one for you?

“My first signing has to be correct for Everton and for my future here. Make bad signings and you get the sack, it’s that simple.”

Morgan, Mirallas gone. McCarthy likely. Those three would bring a nice chunk of change, but would more importantly free up some payroll. Klaassen maybe. Sandro maybe because he might not want to be here, but I still think he can knock the ball into the net if pairer with a proper striker.

I'm not saying we have a 'war chest', but we will have money to spend. Not as much as we did have, and we'll have to use funds from sales, but taking out a £13.5m loan that we are securing against money that is owed us and will be paid is really nothing at all to worry about.
