In fairness mate, City, Liverpool, Arsenal (despite them having at least 4 recognisable strikers) and to a lesser degree Chelsea, play a brand of inter changeable football that doesn't rely on a traditional striker. It's fair to say that we don't have the attacking midfielders to play that type of game.

It's also fair to say that the quality of striker available to both Spurs and United are on a different level to what we're relying at the moment.

Who would you go for as a matter of interest?. Surely you won't be happy relying on what we have (unless you're reluctant to let Allardyce loose in the transfer market of course).

He's the sort of player I can see Allardyce going for. Renowned for his hard work and closing down. Actually, as it stands he would improve our squad if he stayed fit.
