We have to be realistic, some players in mentioned in the past are not going to come here at this moment in time. We have still got to try and find the type of players that can stabilise us and try to get us up/in the euro places. Deeney for example wouldn't be brought in to bag loads of goals, but to hold the ball up and bring others into play, he's the type of player we really don't have here, DCL has be trying but it's a big job for him to do it all the time, Wellbeck probably would do a better job and get more goals, but he does seem to be abit injury prone in recent times. If we wanted to play a different way Vardy would be the way to go, pace seems to get you success nowadays.

Btw, he’s a solid player, with good work rate. If he was £10M> & bought as well as a first choice striker, he’d be a good addition to the squad.

I don't, but it would speak volumes about how we have played footy. He isn't strong enough to hold the ball up consistently, but he puts himself about a bit and is very solid in the air.

Getting a head on the ball and doing anything remotely productive with it are two separate things. DCL has twlent, though. Rather roll with him and Niasse than Deeney. Would be nice to get a true target like Giroud, although Dembele has crazy upside even if he isn't amazing right now.

In the realm of players that may be past it to come and contribute, is Howedes getting a game for Juve? I'd rather get players 22-24 years old, but an experienced CB would be nice. Subotic, Vermaelen, etc. Jonny Evans is good, but he will have lots of competition.

Johnny Evans is good. But would cost £20mil plus and he's just not worth it at all. I'd rather us try and loan Vermaelen.

Glad you highlighted DCL I'd have struggled to find him.

Best out of anyone whose played over 1000 min is a great achievement for him. Surprised to see Ricarlson up there too, and he knows how to score a bit.
