To be fair, id be happy if we got Gomes only in January permanently, that a key signing in a key area.

The difference in performance and results since he came in makes him priority no 1.

How much is it worth?

Id wager between 20-30 million.

His value to us won’t be the overriding factor though

He’s a busted flush at Barca , so he’s worth nothing to them as a player for them
The club knows it , Andre knows it and the fans know it
He was allegedly being hawked around at 20m before he got injured
Messi has urged the club to sell him
So no matter what happens he’s not going back there
Other clubs may come in with offers if he continues to do well here.
However Andre has wasted 2 years of his career at Barca
Had lost his place in the Portuguese squad
If he gets recalled to the Portuguese squad again , enjoys his football here , sees an ambitious club he may not want to take a risk on joining another club and it failing
Hopefully he tells Barca it’s Everton or nothing and they have to play ball on the price
My fear would be Valencia come back in for him
He was successful there and the fans loved him
I don’t know if they can match his wages though ,?

Yes mate I've seen him play quite a few times, enough to realise you massively overate him based on his best games rather than his average performance over a season.

think he called Bernard well before we were linked with him. Then gave clarity over a few transfers etc, take it all with a pinch of salt like, but seemed a bit more consistent than others. Again it is social media

Only going on the surface impression obviously, but that Barca move went so bad for him in a purely personal level, and from everything he's said about it, think he'd be a rare player who may choose what he knows and he's happy with - us, over taking even a slight risk moving elsewhere including Valencia

He’s far more consistent than the likes of Rashford who is a similar age and gets hyped up ridiculously. His attitude at times is definitely questionable as he’s prone to sulking through games, but ability wise from a technical point of view it’s clear to see he’s as good a wide forward as anyone out there.

Eriksen? You must be joking. Not even sure why you are comparing them, they are totally different players that play different positions.

I’m not the one comparing them, I know one is a number 10 and one is a striker, @bluestevon was saying that they’d both be competing for the left side midfield/forward spot at Spurs.

The thing is once the light bulb goes on with Martial, and I’m sure it will, he is going to elevate to a different level altogether. Maybe when he gets away from Mourinho making him track runners and cover his full back he’ll start enjoying his football. I genuinely see a lot of Thierry Henry in him and think he could and should be reaching those levels when he hits his peak. However the main point being, we don’t have a prayer of getting him at this moment in time because he’s genuinely far too good for us.
