I'll be extremely disappointed if we don't get in at least 5 players - GK, CB, CM, winger, striker.

GK is the only one there that would be difficult to get IMO.

An excellent, first-choice keeper is required. Most clubs aren't gonna give a second thought to rejecting a bid for theirs (e.g. Forster, Butland etc) half-way through a season.

Realistically, of the PL ones, Pickford is only semi-realistic due to Sunderland been strapped for cash.

Too much hype around Pickford for me. Happy to eat my words. From what I've seen he's a decent enough shot stopper but unconvinced about his commanding of the box, Ariel ability and kicking. All important facets of today's game.

what happens then though mate if he has another season and does great? some other club spunk 30m on him and he's gone. If he's available ( and I'm not sure they would welcome bids as yet ) I'd be in like a flash because sometimes you have to take a punt on potential.

£30m is a lot of money for someone who only plays about 15 PL games. I don't know maybe he will come good but I perfer keeper with more experience and over 6'3 (better aerial ability). Say Forster.

I'm a bit worried about this Schneiderlin rumour.

My learned friend @The Esk seems to think he'll sign and he's been a right bloody jinx on signings this year, so he'll likely get crocked in training tomorrow and be out for six months.

I was gutted when he mentioned him, I really wanted us to sign him.
