Everton are considering a January loan swoop for out of favour Manchester United winger Memphis Depay.
Ronald Koeman is keen to work with the gifted 22-year-old, who rose to prominence as a teenager in his homeland with PSV Eindhoven.
United are reportedly willing to allow Depay, who has only made six appearances for Jose Mourinho's side this season, to leave when the transfer window opens.
And Koeman will be at Ajax's Amsterdam Arena tonight hoping to watch the winger feature in the Netherlands' friendly clash with neighbours Belgium.
Depay has been accused in some quarters of having an attitude problem, but sources at Old Trafford refute that; insisting he is a consistent and hard-working trainer, and that renowned disciplinarian Louis Van Gaal would never have signed him if he had been concerned with his mentality.
It is thought Koeman believes he could unlock Depay's undoubted potential again via the Dutch approach he is attempting to implement at Goodison.
The sticking point could be whether United want to let Depay join a potential top six rival, with Serie A club Roma also interested in the forward.

Last year while in charge at Southampton, Koeman admitted he tried to sign Depay before he joined United for £25m in June 2015.
He hoped the Dutch connection could convince him to move to St Mary’s, but the deal failed to come off.
Everton investor Moshiri's words were encouraging - now he has to continue delivering with action
“We tried to bring him to Southampton but he wanted to stay for one more year at PSV," he recalled.
“When United went in for him this summer, we knew at Saints that we had no chance. When they come, we have no chance."
Depay scored 50 goals in 124 Eredivisie appearances for Eindhoven.
