My concern with Gylfi is that he's very one-paced and most of what he creates is from dead ball situations. I remember seeing a stat somewhere about him creating less than 10 goals from open play in his entire Premier League career

He's a decent player, but at 27 he'd have little re-sale value and I don't think he'd contribute as much as people might think. He'd certainly improve our free kicks and corners though

We've already effectively written off big fees on Williams and Bolasie and seem about to do the same with Schneiderlin. We might have more money these days, but we still have FFP to comply with, so you'd hope someone somewhere would be taking this sort of thing into account

...neither were getting game time so I dare say the situation won't change now they are not available. Saying that, I'm sure a forward is on the shopping list.

Roberto has just assured me that Arouna is ready to make a huge impact on the second half of the season after a really productive period of taking in information and getting over his small soft tissue injury which has kept him out for 12 months.

...yep, looked at Belfodil over the past few days. Very tall, no great pace but skilfull. Seems to prefer attacking from the right. He's either filled out a bit or carrying too much timber looking at recent clips. Bit ponderous for me but I thought the same about Pelle at Southampton, if RK is interested he must see him as a foil for Lukaku.
