….not sure ‘it’s doing well’ when Tosun & Mina only leave when their contracts are up & Gomes is only on loan. Not sure ‘it’s doing well’ transferring our most potent attacker on the cheap to Spurs & not bringing in an effective back-up.

Our transfer dealings & contract decisions have been nothing short of downright negligence.
Spot on. It’s been a disaster.

Adding to the rumours that Pickford will be moving on in the summer - that would be Brazil number 9, England’s number 1 leaving in consecutive summer - just not a good look especially considering how we haven’t been great at replacing players in the past.

How many players have ran their contracts down now? Bolasie, besic, sigurdsson(obvious asterix), tosun, Walcott, Delph, Ramires off the top of my head - likely same issue with Mina , Gbamin, Dele and gomes… no wonder we ended up having to sell richarlison.

It’s been an absolute shambles.

Moise Kean will be running his contract down too.

Looking at the squad. We haven’t got that many assets left.

Pickford you’d imagine would make us a big profit, jury’s out on DCL with his injury record, Gordon would go for a fair bit - after that I can’t see us making a profit anywhere.

We have to start making better transfer decisions asap.

Everton need and want two attackers.

We definitely aren't out of the running for Kudus though obviously him having a great World Cup will mean the price either will be high and/or there'll be lots of other clubs interested.

Don't have any other names, just that Kudus is still a target.

They want a creative attacker (for me that's just as crucial if not more so) and a more 'out and out' striker.

EDIT: I doubt any of this is 'news' to anyone who has been following closely. I've honestly paid little attention to anything Everton related for the last month but yeah, we definitely, definitely still want Kudus. Have that on good authority :)

His agent is still very much in contact with the club but yes, my worry is if bigger fish come calling.

We need our act together, though. I don't see any reason why a deal can't have been tied up ready to go - for a player, not necessarily Kudus - for the start of the window.

Think our proposal was loan with a £15mil option?

What might it be now :o

There should be players lined up by now with a lot of the negotiations complete or near completion.

Of course, I'm speaking about a well run club that wants to keep its PL status, not this shower of Keystone Cops.

We'll stumble and fall through the next five weeks with no signings other than an underwhelming journey man coming in up front who'll sign on Januery 30th and be about as uselful as tits on a bull - and then dance on the trap door until May...maybe this time falling through.

Kenwrights in charge of the negotiations. There wont be players when we need them.

We have to hope Juventus stay solvent and finish in the top 4, as that seems to mean they have to pay.
Was 2 year loan with obligation to buy. The only reason they couldn’t pay if they went into administration, which is unlikely. Getting top 4 has no impact on the deal. So we can bank them money which I believe is 28 million. Plus the 8 million loan fee for 2 season. Was really good business deal by brands only good bit really.

Probably be a last minute scramble for players no one else wants
This is probably the most important transfer window the club have had in years. They need to get it 100% right. History suggest they won’t. But we need at least 2 players ideally 3 to come into the starting 11 and make impacts. Striker, goal scoring winger and creative midfielder. Kudus looks unlikely now, but I will be honest never heard of him until we wanted him. He looked really good in the champions league and World Cup he is a good player. He would have made huge difference going forward, may still get him but he will have plenty options now. But this shows the club can get it right.

Where is this made up rumour of PIckford leaving in the summer come from? He was in contract talks a week or two ago... He will sign a new deal. He's a very good goalie but not elite level.

It was a 2 year deal with obligation to buy IF certain clauses were met.
