There will be no signings till Frank's future is sorted, beat Southampton and a good result against the Hammers and he stays. Otherwise he is binned.

I think it was Bob Stokoe who injured him. I certainly remember reading Clough never forgave him because Stokoe came over and suggested he was playacting.
Clough scoring record was something like 250 + goals in 270 games and four years on the run got 40 or more goals that's some going at any level.
Played for England twice as well.
Rumours he was nearly are manager at one stage as well.
Was at Goodison for the interview ,but they wouldn't give him control of tranfers so walked away.
What could we have been?

But isn't the whole point of a DoF that we maintain continuity even if the manager changes? As such we should still be addressing shortcomings in the squad regardless of the manager's position.

Err it is but I guess there is some logic to what he’s saying. Sacking and replacing a management team costs A LOT of money. Maybe if we lose and they get sacked that’s a big chunk of our transfer fund for this month gone?

Totally disagree
We’ve already sounded out players and their clubs

If Frank is ditched it could take weeks to get someone in and then try and get their players in… not happening in two weeks with this board

Morning Kev, another lazy day or wha???

It’s nothing to do with Frank.

They’re trying to sign players on loan or with most of the transfer fee deferred - other clubs who can pay money upfront instead of I.O.U.’s are interested in players we’re going for so it’s just a waiting game. That’s the market we’re operating in, nothing to do with Frank. Everything to do with the board, FFP and our finances.

It’s crazy people think if Lampard goes we’ll suddenly break out some cash on signings for the new manager.

Franks already said there was money
Read the Athletic article from yesterday. There’s very little money and hardly any room for manoeuvre because of our financial position. The market we’re operating in is loans and transfers where the sellin GB club agrees to most of the transfer fee being deferred and spread over future windows.
