We're scratching about for loans, we ain't spending a penny. Genuinely think this is how it will play out.
Agree. Think we might buy someone if the selling club agrees to deferred payments way in the future but that depends on them not receiving offers from other clubs with money now. We can’t compete in the transfer market with any of the teams in and around us - it’s an effing disgrace.

Read the Athletic article from yesterday. There’s very little money and hardly any room for manoeuvre because of our financial position. The market we’re operating in is loans and transfers where the sellin GB club agrees to most of the transfer fee being deferred and spread over future windows.
The amount of big earners Wev got of the wage bill over the past couple of years and it doesent seem to have made a bit of difference

Only Everton could get a billionaire owner and end up having to wheel and deal in the transfer window like we always have. We need Moyes back.

Liked but no to Moyes. Failed manager. I class him now at the same level as Pardew, Steve Bruce, all of the old school managers. Moyes did well for us and has literally done nothing since.

Cos those clubs make a lot more money than us via champions league, global merchandising etc
Yes, exactly, however once we got taken over there should have been a plan and we should be doing what is happening to Newcastle now. 3rd in the league and semi final of a cup. Yet, here we are, relegation fodder…. Again. 500m pound on poor signings. I actually don’t think one of them under Moshiri has been good.

It was more a tongue in cheek reference to Moyes and his love of loans. I do think he would be a much better manager for Everton than lampard, though.
