Any other club, and you're right!
We only have a core of around 16 players left (including Branthwaite and Nkounkou as back-up) after the above out of contracts guys are gone and we either sell or loan out the unwanted 8 players above. We should have rooms to sign a couple of good new players.

Pickford (new contract), Tarkowski, Patterson, Onana, Calvert-Lewin, Gordon (no one will pay £40m now), Gray, Iwobi, Nkounkou, Mykolenko, Godfrey, Gana, Coady (on perm), Branthwaite, Garner, Simms.

City make a lot of money on player sales. They are actually in profit this year because of fees they got for Sterling, Jesus, Zinchenko, etc.

Moshiri doesn’t have that kind of money. Usmanov does. That route is lost to us, now.

We can indeed take that stance, but we won’t because - again - we have no access to the money we would have done before. Even were we to find a few brown envelopes down the back of the couch, the “we need to do this or we’ll go down” argument is rubbish. We’re in peril because of how badly we’ve spent a lot of money; to argue the antidote is spending more money will be laughed off by the PL.

We have very much made our bed. This is us laying in it.

Imagine if we went and begged them to let us spend more money after what we’ve spent on absolute dossers over the last 6 years.

We need to go out and sign a couple of good attackers. Surely we cannot risk our PL status. Our wages bill should be under control by the summer.

Kean - £28m coming in
Contract is up - Mina, Townsend, Begović, Doucouré, Coleman, Davies, Vinagre, Lonergan
Players available for sell - Holgate, Keane, McNeil, Maupay, Gomes, Gbamin, Virgínia, Dele

0 of these will leave.

We still have a good few mill stones out on loan who could come back and "fight for their place" - Dele, Gomes and Gbamin are all on not insignificant wedge mate.

Here's a handy little image to answer why we can't sign anyone and clubs (eg Wolves) are blowing us away.

If as is suggested, we are only constrained as to how much we can spend by FFP rules, surely there are clever accounting ways round them ?

If we took say a £100 million loan out from the Bank of Moshdosh to get players now, repayable over 20 years say, repayments starting in July or whenever the next FFP accounting period starts, technically we wouldn’t have spent anything would we ?

Anyone know any decent accountants with a vested interest in making sure we don’t get relegated ?

Well, I mean their jobs for starters and also their undoubte4d investment in the club. NONE of them will throw the towel in and willingly let the club go down, an utter pointless myth that is being peddled and does noting but create even more toxicity.
Their jobs wont necessarily be under any more threat than they are already tho to be fair, most want some form of board change at some level and its necessary.
If we go down they will have contracts that afford them payoffs or redundancy packages etc so they are at very little risk, even if we do manage to get them booted.
What "investment" have Bill, DBB or Sharp put in?

Its toxic in relation to the way this business is being run/managed from Board down and i dont agree with any personal threats etc but it DOES need to be addressed. Bill has had more than his fair shre out of Everton and should have actually stepped aside on Mosh say so but Mosh didnt say so s o we are stuck with a guy who still thins its the 80's 90's and uses that model of business.

Im sure they will be gutted if the club goes down as we will all be, but will they suffer financially, only on future earning potential!

According to the lads on toffeetv they seem to think the kean money has already been accounted for in a previous seasons accounts.

We've been so badly run we've just been exploiting every loop hole there is and using every trick in the book to get around our terrible situation instead of cutting our cloth Accordingly. Now we've ran out of tricks and there's no more loop holes were bottom of the league and we're broke.

As soon as we spend that £100m on players then we will have spent £100m. Assuming 5yr contracts all round, that’s still a £20m hit (plus 6m wages) hitting our P&L.

Plus - again - Usmanov has the money. We can’t take it from him. There is no money.
