I find it hard to believe we don't have anyone in the age groups who couldn't offer cover and would be as good as Godfrey. Failing that we could loan a squad player from Spurs for the rest of the season as cover

We have loan spots available and I agree I find it hard to believe we can't fill them up but it doesn't sound like we will be. We will see I guess.

Close thread. Thelwel has no money again so unlikely players will be bought. If anything players will leave, preferably towards the end of the window so that they can use the usual "we tried but couldn't get it done in time".
For me summer window was a failure, especially with iwobi leaving us on deadline day, and gray after with no replacements in...we are desperately short in the winger position. If we can't play dele, then we need attacking reinforcement that can add some creativity to the side.

Better not get a transfer ban this summer because if we are, we have about 14 senior players with contracts, probably less by the time the January window closes. Open goal for the Premier League to once and for all relegate us to the championship at the end of the 24 25 season.
