Nah, I'm pretty sure he knew his stuff. He worked in a similar environment.

Somewhere near Russia.

Given this is ROUTINE analysis, I'd love to know this Russian Scientist's name if he doesn't know of ICP-MS.

This is really basic stuff lid.

EDIT. FUNNILY ENOUGH THIS IS WHAT THE IAEA (international atomic energy agency) USE and offer training in

This Russian looks like he needs to go on one of these courses.

You've been owned lad.

I feel like linking this to some people on twitter with letters after their name so they can come and giggle at the funny man that thinks reading up for 5 minutes on Wiki gives him a PhD in physics.

It's Ok though. Wouldn't want you to get frustrated and go and murder your neighbour or anything so... YOU OWNT ME SON! Well played.

Lad feel free to twitter THE IAEA (international atomic energy agency) use of the method in the analysis of these samples. At the Seibersdorf Laboratories in Vienna

I'm sure it will give the whole of twitter a good laugh when they see you're looking silly.

Or is the scientist in Russia going to argue with the IAEA ?

Damon, stop being a complete Ted.

Take stock of the situation. Just sit, and think about it for a minute. 10's of thousands of people have just died. Thousands of people, just like you or me. Somebody's wife, somebody's child, somebody's parent. Dead, hust like that. Thousands more are going through some sort of living hell right now, having to come to terms with the grief, and the suffering, and the continous fear of a Nuclear disaster to top it off.

And then there's you, using the whole situation to try and make yourself look like some sort of know-it-all on an online forum? Doesn't quite sit right with me, somehow.

Apparently they now fear a fire in reactor #4, many people (including reporters and some plant workers) being evacuated. I stand by what I said in here a couple of days ago, this situation is still escalating, and we're not being told. This won't be a major, major disaster, hopefully not too many lives lost (although I think I heard someone injured in the first explosion has died in hospital) but I think there's going to be a large exclusion zone around this plant for decades to come. I hope that the people inside the plant, the ones trying to contain this situation, will not pay for it with their future health.

Ace, just totally ace

I'd let him carry on though he's very convincing, and he's great popcorn

Yes, it's getting out of control for sure now. Containment vessel breached and major radiation leakage: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-12740843

Awful, just awful.

Bryan posted this on twitter the other day, it's unreal to see how quick it changes.
