I don't think he's the kind to down tools or kick up a stink, so unless we accept a bid I'm sure he'll be fine to stay.

Clearly knowing that a club is prepared to treble your wages is going to turn any player's head to a degree, but he'll know that he's a multi millionaire with or without United this season, and if the club doesn't accept their bids now he'll know or come to an agreement with the club to leave at some point in the near future anyway.
 

The issue with this is they pay what we want too late into the transfer window amd we waste it as our main targets have already gone
We still need at least another first team CB even if he is to stay, so we should be working on finding that sort of player anyway and making a move to sign one. Then if we decided to sell him late on for a good offer we`d have one or two CB lined up to sign on. But then again this is Everton, and we still have not signed a RB to take over from Coleman who is in his late 30`s and nearing the end of his days, with an even older backup in Young, and in Patterson a lad who dosen`t seem to be good enough to do the job.
