Ah right, well all I was saying is that your gifted maverick type players tend to cost more money than you regular clogger who can "do a job".

If he ever had a load of money to spend maybe he goes out and buys someone flash. Who knows?
Whilst he's not a flair player as such it will be interesting to see if he plays Ndayie in his correct position as a 10 instead of Doucoure.

Hardworking, limited but effective, cheap but VFM.

If you believe in pigeon holing of course. He signed Steven Defour who arguably was the most un- Dyche signing ever 🤷‍♂️
I love the idea that these are the parameters

Like he’s looking at the next Foden and goes:
Cheap? - tick
Hardworking? - tick
Limited but effective? - no, he’s actually really good, not limited enough
NEXT!

Ornsteins as much of a chancer as Romano. Pretty much all of them have "reported" we needed to sell Branthwaite at one point or another. Its almost like none of them really know anything and just speculate under the guise of "journalism".

Maybe this Onana deal will be a lesson for our old pal Sir Jim. Our asking price for Onana was very fair and widely known, Villa want the player, Villa pay our fair valuation.

Sir Jim decides to piss us about over another very fair (arguably too fair) asking price for Branthwaite and it gets him nowhere and now hopefully the deal is scuppered, or he'll need to pay more than the initial valuation to do it. Villa and Everton showing how actual grown ups do business.

Who has reported that and when? I don’t recall ever seeing that.

The £50mil Onana price has been openly in the media for a month or two now.

That concerns me with the £70-£75mil Branthwaite price which has been in the media for a similar amount of time.

Both fees are below comparable market values.

Brexiters believe in exceptionalism. The same man wants the tax payer to fatten his wallet by building him a massive new stadium because "Wembley of the North" or other such seductive guff.

A spiv.
