Think we have to be in for these players for the next couple of years tbh mate, we can’t ignore the value frees. From his point of view he has a couple of better footballing options, WHU, Spurs, & Newcastle went hard him in Jan. The only selling point for us is location if he wants to stay in the North West and maybe he might be drawn by the manager.
Id be surprised to get him or Eriksen to be honest.
Im at the point now were I’ve accepted Everton are going to be a leaky ship until BMD with very tight scope to spend. The Lingards of this world are going to be enablers.

Wasn't betting on "Keep doing everything the same" being the result of the strategic review.

not sure if mentioned already but it seemed Moyes played him mostly in a central role behind Antonio. Not sure if he played there much for United.

Just because thats what he's on at Utd doesn't mean he'll get it elsewhere.
I think he'll end up on about 100k a week. Considering Gomes is on around that if we could boot Andre for actual cash and replace him with Lingz then its a decent swap ultimately.
As you say until BMD arrives the budget is tight. Spending £25 millions on a player on 70k a week might not be possible when we need a good 4-5 signings.

A couple of points.
1) We seem to be focussing on frees. In a lot of ways that makes sense.
2) I was told in January, if Lampard came, Lingard, Alli & RLC would want to follow him. Didnt pay much notice to it, but beginning to make some sense.
3) This strategy is a million miles away from young, hungry players. I'm not saying its bad, but it's more mixed messages.
