Joel Robles

Replace Funes Mori and then play the replacement with Williams and Holgate in a three. Keep Coleman in but sign Tierney and rotate him and Baines now and then so that we keep Baines as fresh as possible

That'd help massively I think and Robles would feel more secure with that in front of him
Think you've had a couple of backhanded digs at Joel there Mikey suggesting we need to play 3 at the back to make him more secure. I agree that away to Spurs Rs & MU we should play 3 at the back, but this is only because our defence looks more secure as a 3. Joels form has been equally as good with either.

I honestly haven't mate, I think you're just seeing what you want to see

I've been won over to three at the back this season and I think either of the two keepers would feel better with the back three instead of the back two, because it means there's an extra guy in there to offset Funes Mori

De Gea was absolute turbo gash back in the day if I recall correctly.
Not sure this is correct, from what I remember he was massively rated especially at atletico for his shot stopping and reflexes.

Struggled at united with the physical side of things at first but his shot stopping has always been good

I agree re 3 at the back. Both Williams and Funes Mori are more comfortable in that format plus it gives Holgate a game and I really like him as a player.

Point taken re Joel. When I first read that on my phone I thought you were saying that we need to play 3 to protect Joel. Whereas you are saying playing 3 will give him more protection, which is a subtle difference. Apologies.

If we dont keep a clean sheet at Spurs you can be sure some will try and blame it on Joel even if it isnt his fault we concede

Again, some of his kicking on Saturday was terrible, almost straight to a Sunderland player on numerous occasions, but I bet some in here will argue till they are blue in the face that his kicking was superb and that I'm nit picking etc

I find I can not agree with you about anything. I remember you praising Hibbert - the loyal servant stuff - when he was so obviously crap ( please compare and contrast with Coleman). Now you reckon Robles' distribution was terrible last Saturday.

His football skills and long range kicking are a delight to the eyes compared to the heart palpitations that Howard used to produce. Its not his fault that Rom fails to jump for half of them. Robles is obviously a footballer in the sense of one who dominates the ball. Hibbert's relationship, for example, with the ball was like a window cleaner who is scared of ladders.
