I no the way the defense went to sleep and let Ali in was poor, your right thou this is the Joel thread, I'll have to look for your comments on the Morgan, Gana, Barry, Williams and Koeman threads who were all also badly at fault today

Don't forget Funes the Flop who will be rightly getting stick

Made some top saves today, but his kicking was wretched as per. Hopefully today puts that particular debate to rest

Still, I'm not blaming him for that today. It would have been double figures without him

Not sure I agree, Mikey. Think the saves he made were fairly routine that i'd expect any prem keeper to make. The two mistakes are unforgivable though and ultimately decided the outcome.

He's saved about 90% of the one on ones he's faced which is mental. Sure, he looked poor for the 2nd but then when most of the time he's got those decisions come out and close the angle spot on, it's easier to forgive him. Thought he wasn't great for their first either but the defending was poor.

It is always a bit harsh to single out players when it's a shocking team performance. Almost everyone was abysmal. Morgan wasn't great but I don't suddenly think he's crap. But singling out Joel, who kept the scoreline down massively today with some great saves, seems harsh.

But that's Everton fans. They love their scapegoats and they'll hide when said scapegoats are playing well and crawl out of the woodwork when they do anything sub par.
