'And to make matters worse for the 21-year-old, The Sun claim he has been targeted by disgruntled Everton supports at his home in Widnes, Cheshire.'

.........a large representation of fans on GOT, interesting if anybody on here felt bad enough to go to the lads house.

Cundy tried to dominate the interview.

His Chelsea bias is there for all to see.

I do like the sportsbar and listen in most nights. cundy plays the role of the ex pro , standing up for all players rights etc etc, and he can be an absolute arrse with it sometimes. this is especially true when it comes to anything chelsea. my god he gets the hump when things dont go their way. i understand alot of it is for the listeners and to get people to tune in, afterall it would be boring as hell if there was nowt to debate.

i really hope we (Everton) win this little battle with him. i'll love it if come weds morning stones is still an Evertonian.

That was rubbished in that followtonian podcast. Pure lies.

I know we cant afford to cos just havnt got the strength in cover at the mo but i think the lad could really do with sitting out the upcoming chelsea game, or just close the away end! we gotta remember the lads only 21 and a game like this so soon after all this mess really could effect the lad. its really gonna be a game where everyone has to get behind him and hope them lot havnt come up to bring the whole thing up again all game

I think the board are playing a blinder with this....starting to show some real ambition and a proper plan for the future

To be honest, I think the board are just fully aware of what Stones is gonna be worth later.....even next summer....with the new tv deal next summer, all transfer fees will go up, particularly those for top players, and particularly those for top young English players....

Gerrard, lampard & Rio have retired....they were the media darlings....and could pretty much referee games half the time....Stones is the future England captain, and the media are gonna make a superstar out of him.....from an image point of view he'll he a massive asset on and off the pitch....

I wouldn't sell now even for £40m.....for the simple reason he'll be worth more than that next summer, and its now too late for us to spend the money on replacements....
Chelsea have been arrogant as hell here, and we need to put out a strong message to these clubs that if you want to do business with us, then do it early and don't lowball us with plssy bids....and DON'T TAP OUR PLAYER UP ON SKY SPORTS NEWS.....

So we say is the next superstar defender, but he still learning his trade. What his weakness as a defender, I would say he can get caught out on long balls and get on the wrong side of the defender.

What it needs is for Evertonians to show him their support. After all, if he stays, we want him to remain the potential superstar he is.

to be honest was starting to feel this way even before the transfer request. apart from the atmosphere in the stands it will be tense on the pitch and he will be the focus. Costa is nasty enough at the best of times. A gamble with the three points but if Costa got him suspended or worse then it would effect us more. We could put this Argentine lad on Costa and tell him not to worry about getting a card.
