John Stones transfer saga

I know we cant afford to cos just havnt got the strength in cover at the mo but i think the lad could really do with sitting out the upcoming chelsea game, or just close the away end! we gotta remember the lads only 21 and a game like this so soon after all this mess really could effect the lad. its really gonna be a game where everyone has to get behind him and hope them lot havnt come up to bring the whole thing up again all game
It is relatively early in his career for this to be happening but he should be told "if you think you are good enough for the top lad this is part of showing it, performing under this level of scrutiny" plus "I believe in you that's why I have kept you now go out and play a blinder"
That said the stakes are quite high for us too because if he has a mare we drop more points grrr.
But if RM has told him there is life after a transfer request we should get behind that decision and back the lad throughout, especially in the presence of that shower (Chelsea and media!).
He did not look himself at Barnsley imo but on balance I would still play him....and keep everything crossed!!

So, for those who have ever trusted the redtops we now know how they get their nonsense. It's a feeding frenzy started, in this instance, by The Sun and the Ex-press and Mirror follow with the same non-story about John Stones being forced out of his house.

What they're doing is getting away with it by quoting The sun, but the story is certainly taking down on the website!

It was the previous summer outgoings and the increased TV money which funded that transfer. I'd say that transfer is the reason we have spent so little so far this summer.

People will say, we have only spent 4.5 million this summer. But, add in Lakaku payment and it's 11.5 million. Increase in wages will be 6 million at a guess. Bonuses and signing on fees for new contracts will take up a bit of the current TV deal. Reduced prize money by finishing 11th is a hit in the region of nine million.

That's it people, the new TV deal money is spent like that, all gone.

Been saying something akin to this for weeks. It's the availability of cash that is the issue as opposed to what eventually is shown as the bottom line in the accounts.

Good interview, i like cundy, and he does not shy away from his roots, that i like in anyone.

This is something we are going to have to accept, ppl dont get it. When its about your own football club its personal and deep, everyone else with an opinion on it will never get that till its their own club.

That's what annoys me about all the plastic Chelsea fans who've been making fun of us on social media and calling Martinez stupid for sticking to his guns. They just cannot get their heads around the idea of supporting a team that doesn't win everything, that doesn't have tons of money, and yet wants to keep its talented young players and do the best it can. They think the EPL is only about the Big 4 and the rest of the clubs are nothing. They have no idea about loyalty. If Chelsea were on the level of, say, Burnley, they'd walk.

Listening to that lad's interview on talksport was frustrating because he can't prove the media are biased. like a lot of this stuff you are expected to have a watertight explanation of what has happened or you sound like a conspiracy nut. they control the narrative so they'll ignore what they need to and expect you to prove your point beyond doubt. but that isn't how you would investigate anything. If you felt something wasn't right you look at the evidence, precedent and who has something to gain. The facts are; money often brings corruption, the media have links to the people who control the money, there is gambling on the outcome of the transfer market including a clear conflict of interest with Sky, most agents are only interested in payouts, agents often break the law and mislead their clients, journalists are provided with incentives to lie. Lots more to add to that list probably.
We don't have to prove any of these things are true in this case but it is not bitterness or paranoia to suggest one or more are significant. this transfer saga has not followed the 'they put a bid in, we reject it' storyline the presenters were claiming and there is a massive amount that feels wrong about it. Looks like the media won't accept it so they certainly won't question it. The football authorities won't look into it either unless there is a number of clubs involved. down to us fans to do something. still have no idea what that is but...

Stones has moved into a hotel to get away from the media and hype, another disgraceful lie being soaked up by Chelsea fans claiming we have no class. i do wonder what is going through Stones head right now though, is his next step to withdraw his request or start sulking?
