John Stones transfer saga

I'm surprised people keep peddling the 4th bid myth. Martinez confirmed this morning no 4th bid had been received. The highest Chelsea have bid is still only £30m.
The press don't let truth get in the way of reporting lies mate.

Not sure if it's been posted but he's accepted the decision of the club with fairly good grace. Not as the media report.
That's great that.

I only hope that this can get to a wider audience rather than some of the crap that's been spouted by various outlets recently.

With a week to go of the window, 15% due to Barnsley, a backline of Coleman/Jags/half fit Oviedo and two youngsters Galloway/Browning - yet the media narrative is somehow we are mad not to sell???

It was interesting listening to Danny Higgingbotham on talksport about when he put in a transfer request in when he left Stoke to Sunderland, he only done it on the request of Stoke to smooth things over with fans once they had agreed the deal behind the scenes. Him and Matty Holland both seem to think it must have been Stones' agent who must have badly advised him to put it in and don't think Stones' would have wanted to do it himself. Stones' seems to me to be a genuine young lad and probably a bit naive and maybe a bit too nice.

Unbelievable their logic isn't it? Suppose we coulda sold him for 40 million, then been 'better off' until we signed Ashley Williams for 39million on transfer deadline day coz they knew we had 40mil burning a hole in our back pockets!

Annoying the way no one in the media has took it into account re. the fact that, as you say, we are desperately short of numbers there anyway!

21 year old lad under this amount of media pressure mate, hope he has a blinder tomorrow myself and the away end gets right behind him

Said it earlier in the thread - we should get totally behind this lad now and show him how much we love him.

If you see anyone booing him tomorrow have a word and/or shout them down.

The media are desperately looking for 'hate mobs' to make it look like Stones needs to leave so I really hope we don't give them it.

How come the yarmolenko thread was closed when their chairman said he wasn't for sale yet this one remains open after the club said he wasn't
If the Yarmolenko transfer looks to be on again, we will reopen. As it is, it's mostly off so there's not really much to be said on that one at present.

With Stones being our player, and people wishing to discuss Everton telling Chelsea to do one, this remains open for now.

If it wasn't for this page the forum would be very very quiet at the moment.

Not really fella, it's still busy enough.

Anyway folks, back to John Stones.....

Let them. It just makes them look daft.
