John Stones transfer saga

If they bid £34m then he's gone. No way will our board turn down that sort of money. I hate to say it but I think he will be a Chelsea player before the season starts. Just have to fleece them for every penny we can and get a replacement in as soon as we can.

Feel sick saying this but deep down I think we all know this won't end well.

Depends on who we spend the money on. £34m for a player with a single good season doesn't seem too bad, but he has the potential to do so much more.

If we could talk them into paying that kind of money with a loan-back for 1/2 years, then I'd go for it.

I am still waiting to see the 5 magic words from our club: "He is not for sale". That is why I am angry! It is much to early to sell, he will be worth a fortune in a couple of years.

Do Chelski not understand what inflation is if Rio Ferdinand is a record deal many years ago for 30 million + why should we accept 34 million with inflation it has to be near the 50 -60 million mark - now the Sun paper claims Stones wants the move! could not read their article as you have to subscribe to that rag!

lol

you stand alone in this crazy ole world but you do make sense!

Im just not as bothered as some mate, I just know we will carry on and be just as good, it happens all the time.

His best season come when we finished 11th....he is hardly Jesus Christ. He is a good footballer, our best seasons in the Prem we had Jags & Distin or Jags & Lescott.

£34m leaves us with what only £27m after the sell on?

We should be saying to chelsea that they pay Barnsleys portion at the very least, I wouldnt sell him until next summer at the earliest though.

I know.....I agree, but I don't think he is leaving just yet anyway.

To a lot of people its what the sale represents though, it just typifies the strategy of this board and really bumps up the feeling that we are going absolutely no where as a club.

Even if we did have a more forward thinking board.....we would still be selling players to the elite, its what happens.
