It's Steve Brenner. He's on tour with Chelsea in Montreal and New York. It doesn't take much imagination to work out what's going on over there, he's just getting instructions from Mourinho/his minions and running with stories to try and unsettle Stones. It's reprehensible. Can only hope we stay strong and rise above this.

I literally have no idea what young CB we could buy with bags of talent who could fill his void.

Blackett & McNair would be fantastic signings for Everton, both same age ish as Stones given game time and the right coaching you'd have a couple of good uns for a few years .

Kenwright needs to report Chelsea to the FA. Mourinho has form for tapping up players.

What angers me is the way Chelsea have conducted themselves in all of this. Firstly going public, and secondly ignoring our statement that the player isn't for sell from the letter.

They've got their teeth into him now and won't let go.

Everton need to come out again and reiterate the wording of the letter publicly and put an end to this saga. If they don't then I'm afraid their courting the idea of holiding out for £30million.

Can't see him kicking up a fuss, so the club and Stones need to quash these stories immediately and stop the disruption to their pre-season.

We turned down their offer.

Roberto then stated in public that we don't want to sell, and behave you nouveau riche pensioners.

Mourinho then has gone into a tizz, and brought the media with him.

Saying anymore is just putting more blood in the water to feed the frenzy. There is no win in saying anything.
