John Stones transfer saga

Maybe I'm 'old school' but I judge a club by its support. Newcastle, Leeds, us, villa I would still class as big clubs going by attendances and their passionate support. Are they successful clubs in terms of winning trophies? Of course the answer is no, but it shouldn't diminish their standing in the game.

Chelsea absolutely dwarf most teams bar some of the more established hyper clubs like Bayern Real or Barca. Arguing the toss over whether they are bigger than us is futile really, but it'd be quite nice if we didn't cash in on our best players as soon as they start kicking up a fuss.

I agree, but a fair number of teams fill their away allocation every game, Chelsea included I would imagine

That is likely because the away allocations are so miserly these days.

You don't need as many to take up the allocation these days.

I remember when we used to give away fans the whole of the Park End there would be a few hundred of the buggers on the terrace and a scattered few in the Park End Stand.

But I was never at Stamford Bridge in my life when there weren't thousands of Everton there.

Over the last few transfer windows we've had Baines,Coleman and Barkley being the subject of interest from other clubs. They've all chosen to stay at Everton, Stones will be no different.
